overlap processing with daqmx

I'm writing a DaqAcqusition program that captures data from a cDaq9178 USB cradle containing 8 NI-9234 modules.

As the 9234 has a limited set of samplerates is it possible to query the Task to see if the samplerate requested was actually set or did the 9234 select another samplerate?

Is it possible or are there any examples of using the read functions with an overlap processong parameter say 50%? i.e. read the first block of samples and then read a further blocksize * overlap samples.
